As always, I find such value in your content. Some day I’ll be in country to attend a workshop (bucket list)

Great to hear that you are aware of the Geoengineering program. I’ve been trying to tell people for 15 years. I’m a food grower myself.

Thanks Charles, did this today. The tired old leaves I missed turned yellow on their own. Sungold producing well but Early Girl slow and fruit not large. I grew her specifically for fried green tomatoes. Brandywine slow as usual but more fruits than last year. Still haven’t eaten a single one of those yet. Looking for a Brandywine alternative for next year. Hard to beat that incredible taste though. Happy Summer!

Hey Charles! I never thought I was tall enough to grow tomatoes until I saw this video. Anyhow, I have been tending my hybrid tomatoes and following your advice to remove the lower leaves. In my subtropical climate, even in Winter we get some humidity related issues, so I am careful to water only in the morning and apply a thick layer of sugar cane mulch. Cheers!

They look so pretty. My tomato plants in New Hampshire are drowning! My leaves are yellow and there are spots all over my plants. We hardly see any sun The skies are always cloudy and we get torrential rains every week.

Amazing tips! If I suspend a piece of string to support the vertical growth, can it hang lose on the ground next to the plant or do I also have to fix it in the ground? I’m a beginner so probably a stupid question 😂

For anyone, does the fruit that is ripening nearer the bottom of the stem need a leaf running alongside it or can you cut off the leaf once the fruit has grown but not rippened?

I was always taught that taking the leaves away from around the still green tomatoes means less sugar will get produced for the fruit and the tomatoes will be watery. Will test this on two of mine this year, one plant I'll leave leaves on, the other I'll take them off at the bottom and then see if there's a difference in taste.

Do you have a video on how to trellis and prune the tomatoes and cucumbers

Crazy how many leaves you can cut away. I was allways to scared to cut so much away. But I will test it this year at one plant really radically. Lets see. Do you plant the flowers between the tomatoes, that there stays more life in the soil!? In my greenhouse the compost gets super dry really fast.

I was taught to prune off any leaf below a fruiting cluster.

Why do you deleaf tomatoes, and is it all leaves above the fruit?

Excuse my ignorance, but what happens if you don't prune any leaves or young shoots ?
