So, here’s what I’ve found from testing with my Thunderchief and Strike Eagle;

-Speed + low altitude is better than high altitude. Because you are already high up, the bombs will not go into a parabolic curve, making it harder to toss bombs in urban settings and making it harder to gauge release range.
-For the Skyhawk and other subsonic aircraft, you should start pitching about 7.5-6km depending on maximum airspeed and responsiveness to vertical maneuvers. For supersonic planes, you can toss ~8-10km, but your airspeed needs to be low enough for it to release due to Mach factors.
-The CCRP becomes more accurate the more zoomed in you can make it before tossing.
-If you’re toss bombing into an urban environment or your target is using a building for cover, you’ll need to factor that in your approach as the bomb’s arc might not be enough to clear it. On the other hand, they can also make nice backstops for easier drops.

Lastly, remember that this is a method to get bombs to a target from outside SPAA range, under inertial. You will miss if a player is moving, as if you were using a Type 60, but CCRP bomb tossing works really well when used against incapacitated or distracted enemies, or at predictable locations. If you’re don’t have recon data, use the killfeed and death markers to guess position, and most importantly, don’t feel bad if you miss. The goal here is safety, not performance.

fun fact: you can chuck pe8 bombs in a similar fashion if you climb to a high altitude then dive towards target (side climb or fly away from battlefield while climbing up safely), pulling up really hard just before it gives you speed warnings that would rip wings, then switch to bomb sight to send 5000kg of Soviet fun flying. Farthest we had someone do it was about 6km from battlefield with 4 kills

The hardest part is knowing when to pitch up. Too early and you will be ascending quickly into the view of SPAA while decelerating, and you will have to wait a long time to release the bombs. Too late, and you will be well within enemy SPAA range when you pop up. It's a learned skill.
Aside from this is the problem of targeting. It relies entirely on team scouting. Often if you release at ranges too far away, the target will have moved since. CCRP is relatively inaccurate so large bombs will be needed even with stationary targets. Slow-moving bombs also will become easy targets for SACLOS SAM interception.

(admittedly you have to be much closer to the battlefield, for obvious reasons)

This is an actual strategy used in real life, similar to rocket lofting done by both Ukrainian and Russian pilots.

This can also be done with JDAM's to drop warheads on foreheads from 15km away. Pretty sweet.

Was practicing this in the test, suprised to find how accurate this could be. If you can get an accurate target point, it will land majority of the time

I have been trying this with the new isreali f-16 netz premium they added recently in the test drive, and using the gbu-31 JDAMs and its kinda nuts i can toss four 2000kg bombs at a target from upto 15km away, thanks gaijin
