Inspirational Thinkers: Nietzsche's Philosophy of Eternal Return

A Philosophy of Eternal Return, or the Eternal Return spoken about by Nietzsche is a philosophy of eternally returning to the same decision of life over and over again. A Terrifying Thought Experiment formulated and presented by Nietzsche in his writings, in this video we will explore the philosophy of an Eternal Return or Recurrence that Nietzsche believes everyone is destined to experience.

This early iteration of the Eternal return is meant to be shocking, to be terrifying, and prompt us to seriously consider what it would be like to relive each and every decision. For Nietzsche, life is about peaks and valleys, and if one is to embrace life, and will the life they desire into existence, they must understand that the highest mountain peaks are accompanied by the deepest canyons… something we must be prepared for. So ask yourself, do you live in this way? Do you make decisions that you could endure in eternity, or would you be condemned to live in regret and mediocrity over and over?
