Absolutely brilliant! I get often sick and tired of these self righteous individuals, whom are so often put so high on the moral high ground.

Nietzsche said this specifically about the type of morality the Christianity yields.

Lol. Neitzsche was warning ppl about ppl like JP. He saw christianity as a slave morality

I think morality depends on someone's true and sincere motivations.

What more is that cowards can kill in a way that will ruin their lives.
Being Good requires being there in the moments when everyone wants to cower

Nietzsche would have hated Peterson. It's so funny that he thinks that Nietzsche isn't specifically talking to him as an obedient coward.

This is espeically true of religious "morality."
If morality does exist it is far beyond human comprehension. Morality in any human sense is just a tool for power and control. trying to either force you to submit to the morality of those around you in society.

Obedient cowardice is not synonymous to powerlessness. Being an obedient coward implies that you have power if only you were to exercise it, but slave morality is appealing to those who have no other form of power to dispense. I feel like he is playing fast and loose with what Nietzsche said here.

So desperately trying to find myself after 57 years on this journey. In 2 months, 3 surgeries, 3 hospitalizations, multiple pulmonary embolisms, gangrenous appendix, Stage 1A adenocarcinoma of the left lower lung, I am determined to live and love authentically. By all signs God has sent me a wake up call and I am in my journey to find my purpose, I don’t live in the shadows, god has sent me a message, not sure what, but I have a second lease on life and I intend to bring joy to myself snd others.

well said sir. it's better to be a true and genuine bad... badass. then you can really do good. when you are full inside of you with all you need.

Nietzsche was talking abt Christianity in that quote. Jordan Peterson loves getting morality from the Bible, yet he also likes quoting one of its biggest detractors because he doesn’t understand the material he just wants to sound smart

That's what they would perceive you to be but you're a good man Jordan we all know this!

Why should it be bad if you follow the rules. that doesn't make you any different than someone who doesn't. Two can have a different worldview and still be the same I mean we're all people. We all bleed the same

Why did Neitzsche sticl by the rules himself, writing, Philosophing is one thing doing is another!
You could say he was street wise enough to preech but not to practice, or in reality hr had doubts and changes or mind.
Its bad news when philosophiers cancnt do this.socrates did this, Wittgenstein did this.

Morality means always standing for the weak, EVEN WHEN IT MEANS THE STRONG ARE AGAINST YOU.

It's funny people are like that guy that did horrendous stuff is evil but I don't so I'm good. Ha no your not. When was the last time you slung soup to a homeless person. Went through the painful process of donating bone marrow to save a sick child or washed a beggars feet like Jesus. If evil does evil & you don't do evil bit also don't do good your at best lawful neutral.

Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Aptly enough, this was quite insightful. I wish Peterson would stick to such topics. He's gone off the deep end by now, it seems.
