I bought one of these in 2002, it was a true enthusiasts car. You could race it Saturday and Sunday then drive to work Monday through Friday. Absolutely awesome.

I got to drive one of these gems. The gearbox was the one thing that really stuck out in my much too short time at the wheel. The S2000 was already cancelled at the time. I ended up buying an MX5 and as good as the Mazda was, it wasn't an S2000....not even close.

Pretty much everything is faster than a Miata. I still remember the look of utter disgust on the guys face when I smoked him in an extended cab 4wd Silverado with a cammed and tuned 5.3, pulling and empty 12' flatbed trailer😂
