This video is all about the OSSC (open source scan converter) and the benefits of using it for retro gaming on a modern TV. It's also a very good tool to use with capture cards as you can convert incredibly good signal into a modern format like HDMI for your capture card to understand.

I'm about to follow this guide and setup mine.
DC Scart to HDMI. I got DreamPi working on my DC and have been playing PSO on Sylverant!
