I'm a UW alumni and my answer to what is going on in Pullman? Is not a hell of a lot 🙄

Eastern Washington is very rural and agricultural. That naturally lends itself to isolation. Yes, Pullman is a college town, but it's in the middle of "the scablands" and is low on the entertainment, social, and opportunity scale.

Regarding serial killers from Washington state, Bundy, Ridgeway, the shooter who shot people in DC and VA were all Western Washington things. This is the first Eastern Washington killer (if proven guilty) that I know of.
