WSU student found dead in dorm identified

The student was identified as 19-year-old Luke Morgan Tyler of Redmond.

My daughter was friends with this sweet guy- they had gone to school together since kindergarten. He always made sure that the girls were safe walking them home at night to their dorms. From what my daughter tells me he was an incredible friend so supportive even in the most difficult times even to those younger than him back in his hometown going through hard times. She was so impressed with the quality of his character, and she has been absolutely crushed that this happened. To the sweet boy who found him we are also so sorry because I know he was such a dear friend. Deepest sympathies to his family. He is truly missed and his kindness and generosity will never be forgotten

I hope the family seeks help through this terrible time. My brother died in a terrible accident when he was 18 and my family fell apart, with ripples of pain and damage that still haunt us 54 years later. My heart aches for his family and loved ones.

The amount of young people suddenly passing away is very disturbing. This is very common these days and it should not be. Parents should not be burying their young adult kids. This is so sad.
