Honestly quite astounding how much thought, care and attention is put into anatomy and character design of animated movies to ensure that the non-human characters especially look as natural and congruent with the world as possible.

We had bears on Picatinny Arsenal New Jersey, a military base I was stationed at for a few years. I'd take the garbage outside and spot a bear and run back in. But they were so magnificent; beautiful creatures that look like giant puppies.

Instead of 1928 being public domain, we can extend it to 2009 if we can reapply the 1790 Copyright Act by state. If we can get public to own 2009 content, then we can create all the characters while the business is still business.
