Vidding has been around since the era of VHS tapes, but in no way has it become a relic of the past. Join us as we discuss what vidding is, what inspires us to do it and how we transform our favorite films and tv shows into an artistic expression of sight and sound. After the panel, join us in the Vidding Lounge where we will screen fan vids created by our panelists.

Panelists: John Arrow, April Funiestas, Juls K., Alice Stevens

I've been actively vidding for my YouTube channel since 2013 (Years before I even knew that word existed). It's my main hobby and my content has been improving over the years. I love what I do and my subscribers love it too. My videos are so highly requested that I had to make another video explaining that new requests had to stop so I wouldn't get too overwhelmed. I've had my own Patreon and merch store for a while, but they haven't gotten any traffic yet. I can monetize about half of my videos. It's nice getting paid a little extra each month. I wish I could make a career out of this or editing in general so it won't always be just a hobby. After all, I graduated college last year with an Associate's degree in Multimedia Design. I just haven't found a way to use it yet.
