How to Become a Host on Zoom

If you want to become a Host on a Zoom meeting. Then, a meeting creator has to do some settings in their Zoom account before you claim host on a Zoom meeting. Let’s follow these steps.
1. After login into the Zoom website, a meeting creator should click on the Profile menu on the left side.
2. Scroll down the page, and you will find the Host Key option.
3. Click on the Edit button on the right side.
4. You will see the 6 digits Host Key, copy it somewhere on your PC.
5. Now, click on the Meetings option on the left side panel.
6. Click on the upcoming Meeting name, and this will open the Meeting detail page.
7. Scroll down the Manage meeting page.
8. At the bottom, click on the Edit button.
9. Scroll down the page again, and under the Meeting Options section.
10. Check the box, Allow participants to join anytime.
11. Click on the Save button at the bottom.
12. Send the Meeting ID or Invite link along with Meeting Passcode and also 6 digits Host Key to a participant.
Now, we will see how a participant can become a Host on Zoom.
1. As a participant, after Sign in on a Zoom app.
2. Click on the plus icon Join button.
3. Type the Meeting ID, click on the Join button.
4. Type the meeting passcode in the text field, and click on the Join Meeting button.
5. In the Zoom meeting window, click on the Participants icon at the bottom.
6. This will open the participants' list on the right side.
7. At the bottom right, you will see a Claim Host button.
8. Click on it.
9. A pop-up window will open, and it will ask you to Enter the Host Key to claim host role.
10. Type the 6 digits Host key which you have received from the meeting creator.
11. Click on the Claim Host button, and you will now become a Host on a Zoom Meeting
