In big news Fender buys the recording and live music hardware/software company Presonus. What does that mean for Studio one, Fender Play and your next audio interface?

I think this is incredibly smart of Fender. I don't use my amp very much when playing in my flat and I think this is indeed where the new guitar ecosystem is going.

Presonus has a great product in their Studio One DAW. Have tried many before settling on this one. They also seem to have some great mixers and speakers.

My first thought when I found out is that Squier packs could start coming with S1 and an audio box instead of a practice amp.

As long as Fender doesn't start calling themselves a "Lifestyle Brand".

When it comes to playing at home or just playing with headphones so you don’t bother the rest of the house, I am pretty happy with my Fender Micro Mustang for that. Or I can use my Mustang 50 if I wanna try out different sounds and stuff from a ton of pedals and amps.
But this does sound like a really cool idea, especially if they can integrate Fender Play with it like Jonathan pointed out though. I use Fender Play daily almost, so that sounds like a cool idea!

Edit: congratulations to Baxters wife!!!! Thank her for serving her community!

I had no idea how “limited” the limited edition t-shirt was! It’s definitely getting framed and hung on the wall in my music room! Congrats again to Taylor!

Congratulations to your wife Baxter. I love this channel and look forward to your videos through the week, you guys make it feel like I know you personally with the relaxed style, it’s like listening to friends chat about the coolest things.

Congratulations to your wife on the election Baxter. Myself I’m okay with this deal. My home studio is all Presonus and my main guitar is a Stratocaster. Were Fender to buy Line 6 they’d have my entire rig! Seriously the one thing Fender need to look at with Studio one now is adding the Fender pedals to the DAW. I know it sounds daft coming from someone with a Helix, but these are elite pedals which are are way out of the price range of most people. To add them to Studio One would be a Godsend to many people. Cheers!

I've had my PreSonus Central Station almost 15 years. It's a fantastic-sounding piece of gear. The DACs are as good as any of that $$$ stuff.

After serving time as a bedroom TV for some time ... 32" Phillips has since logged 20 years in a hot, humid (occasionally freezing), Houston garage. Going strong. Would recommend to a friend.

I haven't had a PreSonus audio thingy in ages, but I did recently buy a pair of PreSonus Eris speakers for my MIDI controller / Pianoteq 7 combination, and I love them! Quality at an affordable price...

I’ve been using Presonus Studio and a two channel Audiobox for about a year and a half and I love it. I also am a strictly 50s spec Fender P bass devotee. (Same with Teles) That said, the past ten years Fender has really disappointed me in regards to abandoning their classic specs across the board. I would worry that if you dig Presonus that Fender will likely abandon it’s existing customer base to chase growth and end up putting out substandard product. Like they have with their own instruments.

Still waiting on one of these companies to provide accessibility for visually impaired people… I would love to try a helix Fractal or a Kemper or any other stuff but they do not work for me because I have significant vision loss.
Until then I guess I’ll just keep playing this 50 W Mesa half stack in the bedroom even if my family hates it. At least I know where the knobs are!🤠
Thanks for the video, fellas… And congratulations to Taylor!

The Soundcraft UI24R has a sizeable number of amp simulation options usable on the first 2 channels (hi-z input option). Unfortunately, it's older Digitech algorithms.

This has some very interesting possibilities. Between the Tone Master and Mustang GTX lines Fender has done a great job in the digital world. I live in an apartment and have no use for the volume or the weight of a tube amp. I own a Mustang GTX50 and it’s a great little amp. If Fender could improve upon that and incorporate Pre Sonous recording technology they could have a monster hit on their hands
