This is just what I need to create a pattern chart, so I need to see the grid in the finished image. I have created a perfect repeating shape in one area of my grid and I would like to take those cells and copy/paste them or flip them to use it elsewhere on the grid. Is there any way I can do that or am I stuck with filling each square individually? Scissors tool, perhaps?

The fuck. Sometimes i see how simply other people can do things in Illustrator, and i just feel like some kind of alien. Doing similar things in just a bizarre way that makes no sense in comparison.
