I have one since the last 10 years plus and it’s a workhorse and amazing for the kids just turning to 1000 hrs operation without no issues with it and bought it second hand with very low mileage at the time . 🇨🇦

These are much tougher than one would think. I have seen them ABUSED to no ends by a Parks Department. Have talked to the mechanics that work on them for the large Parks easy to work on. Good bang for the buck.

I had a job to litterally ruin/ find the breaking point of JD equipment. All I can say is that the ol Gators were the ones that you never even thought of it failing. Function over everything else with the old ones

We’ve had a 4x2 gator since 1999. It’s been incredible. It’s hauled countless loads that were far in excess of it’s limits. I couldn’t even guess how many cords of wood or yards of gravel it’s hauled, plus all the everyday chores around our homestead. In all that time I’ve replaced the tires and front shocks. I replaced the belt a few years ago just because it was way over due. And it barely sips gas! John Deere built one of the toughest most durable machines I’ve ever seen. Keep in mind this is a farm/ homestead machine, not designed for ripping around trails. Although I have used it on bush roads too. Very seriously looking at buying a TX4x2.

Did JD discontinue these? All I see is the TX. The TS has many advantages over the TX like lower bed height. Hope that’s not the case!

I'm so glad you posted this video! I've seen your tx video a few times now and I'm trying to decide which one to get. Do you have any numbers on the ground to bed height? It's something I'm considering, and makes a big difference when lifting heavy things.

I have a top speed of 25 miles an hour on mine. I recommend Putting a smv Sign on your gator if you plain to drive it on the road it It's much cheaper than putting lights on the back l also recommend upgrading to atv tires once you upgrade the tires these things will go anywhere you want.

My landlord bought a 2020 model and it still has the original oil and oil/air filter on it at approximately 4000 hours on it !😳 still running but its starting to show signs of the effects of NO MAINTENANCE EVER DONE !
