President of Hockey Operations for The Vegas Golden Knights, George McPhee, joins the show to talk with Bob and John.

The three talk about the teams performance this year, having missed the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. We talk about the massive amount of injuries the team faced throughout the season and question how big of a part that played in the teams inability to reach the post season. We also get an idea of what goes on during players exit interviews, we talk about Jack Eichel and George's opinion on his first few months with the club before moving onto a discussion about the Stanley Cup Playoffs & the uptick in penalty calls we have seen so far.

The best team not to make the playoffs. Can't blame everything on injuries. Look at the Penguins, no Malkin, Crosby, Droumillon, Saros... and the beat goes on when other players simply have to step up. Excuses, excuses and excuses. Mcphee had it just too easy from the start! This is a good lesson for Vegas.

Did the loss of enforcer Ryan Reaves factor into why the Knights suffered so many injuries? McPhee Biofile interview is part of the book 80s Hockey Biofiles amazon books

Sorry for the interruption . I was not going to say anything about the annual demise of "Les Leafs, " but I cannot think of a better forum than this show to state where the bear did the number in the hay. This team lost the series in the sixth game. You do not go down two men to the defending stanley cup champions. They did and got burned. So, the first point is that discipline, I mean "BLOODY DISCIPLINE" went out the window. What is also so insulting is in the seventh game, there is only one point to realize, and that is the team that wants it more will win. They even had a second chance and basically had no spirit. This retired fellow has watched alot of hockey in my time, and indeed, thinking back when Vancouver lost to Boston that year, folding like a cheap suit, losing in four games and down four zip very early in the last game, was a major insult. I will not forget this fiasco in Toronto either. I love the show Guys. Too bad this Toronto team did not respect themselves first, or even your support for, as it turned out, the gang that could not shoot straight.

P.S. When the national women's team won their gold medal in China, they illustrated a discipline and a plan for victory that in comparison, makes the Leafs look simply pitiful.

McPhee's a failure. He's definitely not the answer to help Vegas win a Stanley Cup.

The refs are doing their best to ruin the playoff experience for the average bangwagon fan!

Here in Vegas..the wonder of what went wrong that this awesome VGK team so soundly hit the skids. Gambling fever hit collectively in the management room. Injuries galore yes but preserving the core of what this franchise started with would have gone a long way to reinforcing fanbase excitement and ensuring the vitality of being here..people going to games..players want to be here..you don’t need to rush out and tag certain high end players with fat contracts. Nevada is a friendly tax base for them. Things can be a lot better and will be no doubt. That said.. tough to read all the posts who can’t stand this team. This is a vacation destination . Vegas Strong. 🥅🏒🥰🌟🌵✅
