Single-use plastics are on the rise. While their average usage time is only 6 months, it takes more than 500 years for plastic products to decompose.
At the current rate, global plastic production is projected to double by 2030 compared to 2015. We must stop using single-use plastics that are polluting our land, sea, and even our dining table.

I just saw this video on an ad. Finally stuff like this is being shown. I really like greenpeaces’ unique way of educating people on not only plastic pollution but the dire environmental situation as of now. It’s really impactful. This is the first YouTube ad I actually want to be unskippable.

I hate that YouTube doesn't push Greenpeace vids out to the light and let ppl see what really is happening

This is extremely sad, I really wish people would support this and save the oceans. This made me cry and I hope this gets more support.

이 짧은 영상 하나에 많은 것을 느끼네요. 지금 당장은 아니어도 가까운 미래에 그린피스 가입해야지. 응원하고 실천하고 있을게요. 고맙습니다.

GPGP is getting bigger in size. Despite of effort of Ocean Cleanup established by Boyan Slat, the main source of plastic wave is pumping from land. There has to be strong restriction in disposable plastic in global scale. We need newable energy based infrastructure to prevent further conflict such as climate refugee, war, and tension between nations.

YouTube burying this kind of advertising just shows how connected the plastics industry is.

I was told that in Sweden,

That rubbish that the people sort as recycling

That the garbage collectors, pick up the garbage!

And that it is mixed with ordinary garbage and not recycled at all!

Interesting video design. Why does the little girl live with her (I assume) grandfather? Does it have a symbolic meaning?

Is there another animated series that contain these 2 characters?

Imnovative tecnology for more durable plastics etc is currently playing. I am technologically illiterate and dont know (nor want to) how to navigate social media. My hope is there are intuitive people understanding what a marketing ploy that ad is and they arent buying into it. Little effort is required to investigate what is going on with the plastics issue and general recycling propaganda as well. I am in my 70s and bevoming increasingly more immobile - no acquaintances or community who seem interested. I would like to see more exposure info disseminated to help people not buy into the lies.
