Turtle Journey | Greenpeace

Aardman and Greenpeace have today launched a powerful animated film to highlight the plight of the world’s oceans. Turtle Journey, directed by Aardman’s Gavin Strange, tells the heartbreaking story of a turtle family heading home through an ocean that is under increasing pressure from climate change, plastic pollution, oil drilling and overfishing. Characters in the film are voiced by Academy Award®- winning actors Olivia Colman and Dame Helen Mirren, along with Game of Thrones’ Bella Ramsey, Stranger Things’ David Harbour, Downton Abbey’s Jim Carter, and comedian Ahir Shah.

Honestly aardman should do more of these. Its sad that it has to be done but 'humanising" it seems to be a good way to have people actually acknowledge it

As sad as this PSA is, I would love to see Aardman make an entire animated movie about this sea turtle family. I love the style and look of this underwater world they've created here! It's like Aardman's "Finding Nemo." 🐠

The fact that they humanised this makes it so surreal, if you saw a bunch of turtles swimming around and then one of them gets swept away would you think the same? Great work Aardman.
