I had a 1978 Toyota it was the small truck with the 22R motor. It was an awesome truck. They need to bring it back to America!!!
But I’m very glad GM is doing this. It’s about TIME!!!

Im actually looking at both the Fiat Max and the new Kia pickup due out this year.
The fiat is a really interesting prospect whilst the kia offers a race tuned V8 as an option.
But. I think this GMC will only be for US markets or just offer limited power train models in europe.
I have homes in Philippines Toyota hi lux and Andalucia spain in the mountains so need a reliable 4x4.
Fiats powertrain has been the bedrock of motor homes for decades and is a tried and tested unit.
Kia are fresh to market with a pickup but they have good pedigree.
Anyways which ever i choose its going to get caned on the gravel roads.
So the wise man would opt for the fiat at half the price of the kia.
But. I like GMC having had one as a company car in saudi arabia.
Build quality was lamentable but it had one job.
Speed cameras in Saudi couldnt focus if you were doing 180+ kmh.
My baby did 190 and got there quick.
So id definitely look at another.

Let's see if it happens, just like a lot of concept cars never make it to production, they do q&a at shows and nothing happens. And price doubt it, there's always hipt then nothing. I've been waiting for the new dakota or el camino. They waste time and money then bring something else out or nothing.

There aren't going to be any 15000 trucks. These are 40 years ago prices, not possible in this market. Thaf is unless they have a time machine to produce these in the 80s and ship them into the future.

GM will not sell it for 15k They will charge more and only offer it in high trim packages, just like Ford did with the maverick
