Hate to beat a dead horse.. but I agree with most, use a leave in, take even smaller sections and the curls would pop more if the damaged hair was cut off. But you're beautiful and awesome!

Go even smaller in your sections for even more defined curls (as if you were getting a silk press sections), oil is your friend. Watching this journey, I think the LOC method (Leave in conditioner, oil, curling cream) combined with a foam....omg I wish I was closer so I could show you. Also, remember to wetyour hair before applying your products....helps the curl pattern reset and the hair cortex will be open. This allows for the hair to take in the products. The products will seal the moisture and products into the shaft resulting in defined and juicy curls

Finger coil all the curls that are flat. Please work in smaller sections. You probably would benefit from using clips at your roots around the front before you diffuse. Diffusing your hair will be important for your curls

Stella, please commit to your big chop the healthy way. Please go to a natural hair stylist who will give you a decent haircut so your curls will pop. You still have too many straight ends hanging on keeping you from enjoying your curls organically.

For more effective define curls...when you wash your hair ..while your hair is still wet brush thru it, they put that stuff on it..brush it going back then part it or style it how you would wear it...I have naturally curly hair like this...

Use a leave in conditioner on soaking wet hair and THEN the mousse and make sure to scrunch scrunch scrunch THEN u may see a dramatic adding mousse without leave in conditioner is not ideal for our hair

Still have a lot of straight ends left on your head though. Probably another inch off would have left you with more formed and consistent curls.😏

Try using bentonite clay to define your curls. It detoxes your hair and and scalp takes it back to its natural curl pattern. It will make your curls pop. Thank me later
