I think your hair came out pretty good for using the mousse alone. I think your results would definitely be more defined, moisturized and longer lasting with a leave in under next time.

I recommend a spray leave in. Otherwise it will be frizzier. The mouse won’t be able to set properly to your hair - potentially causing more frizz…

Putting mousse on nearly dry hair instead of damp or putting another layer of mousse on the second day hair gives excellent definition. I think some people are referring to the putting mousse on the next day as double layering. Mousse wash n goes just don't last long in general. The pay off is that they dry quickly. So it is not so bad having to rewash or restyle hair more often.

my fav mouse ever 🤩 the mouse by them that is the “honey bee” collection is more hydrating! i’ve used both alone, no other products & i’ve found the honey mousse to be enough for me a/o LIC

I tried this mousse earlier this year and it was a no no for me! It looked amazing the first day, but as the days went on it was extremely dry and tangled. I came to realize my hair is protein sensitive, and this product has a lot of protein in it.

I love the Crazy Sexy Curl mousse, it’s so moisturizing and my curls POP! Better than any gel I’ve used and my hair drys very quick. Literally takes me 10 to 15 to do a WnG and last for a week or so if I refresh.

I totally agree with you. I tried it on it's own and my hair was super dry. i tried it with a sheamoisture leave in milk, and that made a difference.

I absolutely love this mousse it's a One-Stop shop. No leave in is needed, if you use a leave in, it will definitely alter the results you get. Instead start using a deep conditioner everytime you wash your hair, in place of regular conditioner. Also she's using way too much in this video. The less manipulation you do with your natural curls the better. It will end up less frizzy. Bigger sections are better with this mousse. Your hair does need to be wet when using it not damp, because that's the curl is going to retain. I've gotten the best results when I finger rake through medium sections and don't manipulate it. Allow to hang dry/air dry *Do not use a comb or brush it will also make it frizzy.

I wish I could truly get into The Doux. I've tried it over and over, and tried to pair it...
#1 It is Lacking in Moisture and is very drying
#2 It actually Flakes... every time...
So, it's No and No. 3 out of 10...Unless she changes her formula.😊

For a leave in use the aphogee provitamin water based leave in. Since it’s like water, it won’t dilute the hood of the product and still gives you a nice layer of moisture from the vitamin in the leave in conditioner. I just pour it in a spray bottle and use it like it’s water when I’m styling my hair

I swear by Honey Spiked mousse by Camille Rose. Love it for my best Wash n gos ever! No leave in necessary. It is sticky but in a good way. This one (Doux) left my hair dry as well & I just didn't like days 2-5 at all. I tried Doux both with & without a leave in. I just purchased the crazy sexy curly mousse by Doux so fingers crossed... 🤞🏽

I use it with a leave-in because without it, when my hair dries, my hair feels like a Brillo pad. That hard stiffness will last for a week if I don’t use Soft Fro grease to get rid of it.

LOVE this product. I've been on it for a while. I combine it with Suave Lush & Coily leave in conditioner and Dove Crown Collection defining Shaping Butter. It's the PERFECT combo. It takes care of the dryness. The best part is that they are both very affordable. You should try it. I think you'd love it!

I'm certain I've tried nearly every product, including this one and for me, while ONE product is a DREAM, for my super thick curls + dense afro, that's just not a thing. 😢.

I like their Dear Mama leave in conditioner and I find that it that I get the best wash and go when I add water. Super wet hair turns out the best. But I use a dryer. Air drying doesn’t work for me.
