This recipe is amazing, thank you so much for sharing! It is easily adaptive too, I added the zest of two oranges, quarter cup of chopped hazelnuts, quarter cup of chocolate chips, and a shot of brandy. The texture was so perfect and nobody could believe it was GF. This is a keeper!

I doubled the recipe but used only 60% of the sugar it called for and it’s plenty sweet! Great taste and texture! The doubled recipe made enough for 3 6” rounds, 3 4” rounds, and a dozen cupcakes. I’ll be making a two tier cake for my daughters birthday and I’ll have a dozen cupcakes for the kids. Thank you for a great recipe!

I am new to GF baking and surprise... this cake was fabulous, tastes amazing. It is my little dog's 14th birthday & it was her cake. I had intentions of posting a photo of this beautiful cake. It did not last long my grandkids loved it. They kept going back for just another little slice. I scraped the crumbs and ate them. I didn't put any icing on it either. So good!

I appreciate that you don't use coconut oil or flour. On top of being gluten intolerant I'm also allergic to coconut. Thank you!

Somehow I was crowned the designated cake baker for my Bible study group. Regular cakes are no problem, but every month we do a birthday party and one of the birthday girls (I'm the other one) eats a strict gluten free diet. I am going to try this cake....fingers crossed

RULE NUMBER ONE; if your kitchen is usually used for conventional baking- your cakes will almost certainly be cross contaminated and make your poor coeliac friend SICK. Please please don't think that GF baking is just a case of changing a recipe. As for this recipe; I've been using it successfully for over a decade and can wholeheartedly vouch for it. But I've never put BS in. It has a bad taste. I also use the chocolate version gf'd and it works well. I'm in the UK and make my own flour blend; we can't access the bobs as easily here and what we can, is too fine or too heavy. Many thanks for thinking of us poor dietary delinquents and happy baking (again) ☮️

Thank you! Thank you! My husband just self diagnosed himself with a gluten allergy after years of suffering. I am on the look out for good tasting recipes and products. Bobs Red Mill are great products. I will be sure to try this recipe and will watch your other videos.

Awesome recipe! I am allergic to both gluten and dairy, is it possible if I can substitute the dairy ingredients with vegan ingredients instead? Would I still get the same results?
