The first time I got these was when I was 6 and my family went to a church and got a box full of them and I called them bionicles for fun, and was surprised to find out it was the actual name.

For some reason I never had McDonald's until I was 19 so I always had to trade my friends for these ones but I eventually had the full set at one point. Wish I still had my Bionicle stuff, they were the coolest

Funnily enough the tohunga started off as more revelent in games and advertising then the toa themselves

If you were into Throwbots(Slizers) as a kid, these sets were the perfect transition into bionicle. Wow. I’m so old… 👴🏽
