I fell in love with Ni-Ju as a two-player abstract game. You are laying tiles trying to complete your patterns while hindering the opponent in completing theirs.

Watergate, Targi, and 7 Wonders Duel are all absolutely solid two player games. I need to try Radlands, but I'm in the same boat of "don't really need more 2 player games".

Really enjoy Tak and ALS. Want to get Targi as it seems interesting and offers something different. Wrt Abstract strategy games - have you tried Onitama and Shobu? Two great ones. Think you'll enjoy them.
