Originally written for 26 episodes, executives abruptly cut it down to thirteen, forcing several loose ends to be tied up hurriedly late into the series and some characters' backstories being unexplored and their issues left unresolved on-screen by the time it ended. The director was not happy about this at all, plus this decision has helped contribute to a lot of the flak this show has gotten.

Angel beats is one of my favorite animes. It really teaches you to be grateful for the life you have because you don't know what other people are going through.Idk how people live without watching it. Thank you so much for doing this cover. :)

This is so good oof--

This anime hit me so hard with the feels train, you have no idea. Like, I know this is supposed to be a little serious, but after I finished watching Angel Beats (this was when I was like, 12-13), I just bawled. I bawled my little tweenage heart out. And then there was a knock at the door. I was still getting over my grieving and I was like "oh no" because I was home alone and didn't know what to do. So, my dumb self went to open the door and it was a police officer and I was like "oH NO". Turned out there had been some burglaries in my neighborhood but I didn't really care so much about that rather than the cop asking me if I was okay because I had clearly been crying before I came to the door.

But yeah that's my Angel Beats anecdote.
