I decided when I retired in March 2020, that I would learn how to play the guitar. At the age of 62 and having never played any instrument in my life, I was a bit doubtful and leery that I would be able to learn how to play.
In our "new norm" world we live in I immediately turned to U Tube, as face to face lessons were out of the question.
I stumbled upon many different teachers and wasn't satisfied until I came across you.
You have made the whole experience of learning, an exciting one.
Your teaching methods are clear, precise, easy and simple.
I have found myself playing for hours watching your videos, rewinding them over and over again.
Best of all I am loving it and am getting better every day!
I would highly recommend Shane's site to anyone who asks me.
Thumbs up Shane! 👍👍
I look forward to seeing the releases of all your new teaching videos.
Thanks again. Keep up the great work!

Although I have played guitar for many years now, I still enjoy watching tutorial videos. I can honestly say; in my opinion, that you have about the best teaching method of all others. Impressive work!

Great lesson. I’ve been taking private lessons for a year and was never taught where to place my right arm, nor was it suggested to hold the pick between my thumb and middle fingers. I think those two tips will vastly improve my strumming. And I love your humorous, positive teaching style. Can’t wait to see more of your videos!

Shane you are a great instructor. Thankyou love that song, Used to listen to it back in the 70's on an 8 track while plowing cotton land in my 1486 International. Some songs you just love from out of thebox.

Only just found this, played for a long time but every day is a school day and always should be. Thank you very much sir, fantastic teaching.
Came here as this song breaks my heart, reminding me of a very special girl who yah, broke my heart. Nevermind, onwards upwards and keep strumming 👍👍 Much love from Scotland🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I have been playing guitar for close to 47 years now and all self-taught. Mostly country classic songs as well as Marshal tucker, Waylon, etc. I am always of the belief that no matter how long you have been playing, there is always something you can learn from another guitar player, and i love watching these types of videos to do just that! I love how you break it down and get into detail for new players about arm placement, pick holding, ect...I learned a couple tips from you today! However, i do use the 'pointy end' as well (.74 being my fav pick) I also favour 'palm muting' with some songs. Would be interesting to see your take on teaching others the style of palm-muting and how to apply that to certain songs. Also, thank you for pointing me to the Beatbuddy!! I ordered one and cant wait to get it. ..Ive been using a programmable drum machine but the BeatBuddy sounds MUCH more professional...THANK YOU!

My dad was a very talented guitar and fiddle player (country) now at 58 I’m trying to learn again.I have 4 guitars 2 6strings 1 12 strings and a epiphone Les Paul (Custom)electric. But I got a long long way to go. I should have listened to my dad and learned when I was a kid 🥴.thanks for the lesson.

Soft loud soft loud just awesome how you reinforce and teach strumming techniques. My wife asked me what are you doing and I told her I was walking the chicken and we both burst out laughing. I get so much out of each and every one of your videos thanks for sharing your knowledge. As a beginner it's great to know there is a site such as yours to help me along.

My man I'll tell you a guitar "conversation" by you is more instructional than hours of lessons and other YouTube instructional videos. Really appreciate it. Just the tips regarding the pick is worth the price of admission. 👏👏👏
