What is the volume setting of the SR ? Does not sound like it should do. I built a clone last year, it's my favorite amp, the volume at low level is good, but at 3 or 4 it's awesome (and stupidly loud). No digital tool can provide this feeling today (may be tomorrow !) even if I admit that for practicing or recording quietly at home it's very convenient. Different tools for different usages :)

I bought an Altos 310 just after Thanksgiving. I think they make the headrush. I find it a bit bass heavy too. I wonder how the 8" compares to the 10". I bought online so no chance to do any comparisons.

Just got a Headrush 108 today. It's okay, but never going to sound like a wooden cab. There are far better options but, have a price to match. The 108 is plastic and cheap, and will never give you those warm cab tones. There are a few comparisons out there, and the plastic offerings never come out very well. They just don't resonate in the way a wooden one does. It is what it is, and I will create and use patches that get the best out of the 108 rather than trying to make it what it isn't. I have found the 3sigma vintage classics pack for the helix to be a good starting point. Only $15 and might be worth a look?

Seems like if you threw a suit coat or light jacket over the headrush it would sound just like the Super Reverb. I do that to vary my tone often during a set. Did you turn the Fender down because the phone would clip when recording? Or because the Headrush isn’t as loud? Both sound awesome. Everyone should pick by the bridge some during a demo as you did.
