Wow, this is way too conceptual to be a comedy sketch for the general population. It's a pretty smart and withering satire of many Broadway plays and the audiences that see genius in something that's quite terrible and poorly written. But that's what gets in the way of the comedy. The sketch has to be deliberately awful to depict the subject matter, which then makes the sketch itself bad.

I had to turn it off when the woman started saying "mama". Its like looking at the girl in highschool that spontaneously starts acting in the hall during class change and admires betty davis.
