Guy chats waffles. An 'atomic' fission bomb is needed to start the reaction for a fussion device (hydrogen bomb) so a hydrogen bomb contains a fission bomb just to get things started.

WTF? hydrogen bombs have a small conventional nuke inside them, just to get the thing going. this makes atomic bombs much smaller and much lighter.
