Oversimplified and Bill Wurtz inspired animated history video

Welcome back to History with Seb! This video is about the Spanish-American War from April 21 to August 13, 1898.

The Spanish-American War was a conflict that took place between the United States and Spain, primarily over Spanish colonial holdings in the Caribbean and Pacific, including Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines. The war was sparked by the sinking of the USS Maine in Havana harbor and the ensuing public outcry, as well as American interest in supporting Cuban independence. The conflict lasted a few months and resulted in the decisive victory of the United States, leading to the end of Spanish colonial rule in the Americas and the acquisition of new territories by the U.S., marking a significant shift in its global influence and territorial expansion.

Loved the video! Some suggestions: mention even briefly Philippine revolutionaries, you sorta make it seem like they willingly joined the United States without mentioning the long Philippine American war. Another, it really engages viewers with close up battles. Showing tactics and providing visual examples can be difficult but it definitely pays off. Hope to see you more and hope your audience grows!

Day two of asking for a video about the Luxembourg Communit revolution and the Luxembourg rebellion of 1918 and 1919. They are cool events but no one ever covers them.

3:00 ...the plates of the hull were bent OUTWARD, so it must have bee an inner explosion...like an accident...
...and not bent INWARD like from a mine, a torpedo or an kamikaze-boat...!

...but why let facts get in the way of a good invasion...?

73 subs?! Let me fix that. 74 now! Keep up the good work and don’t give up! Also a video idea is The War Of 1812!

Edit: 99 subs now…. Great job man. I’ll keep checking up on you and watch that sub count go to a million!

Its a little bit late, still, the video is good, but its too oversimplified and it falls under several misconceptions:
-spanish ships were not made of wood, but they were underarmed, underarmored, and poorly equiped, eith very low quality coal.
-spain did have good ships like the battleship pelayo, but those were left in mainland Spain to protect it from incursions, admiral Dewey himself feared that Spain would sened his best ships to the Pacific, and according to him, "they were superior to whatever he might gave had under his command", though eventually they would not participate in the war
-The US won the war thanks to his navy, the land war was a tie at best, with Spanish forces winning most of the engagements.
-Roosevelt did not lead the ground forces in cuba, he only participated in the battle of kettle hill.

Overall the video was good, it just had a few inaccuracies.
