Rajiv Gandhi's Killers Walk Free I Congress says it does not agree with Sonia Gandhi I Barkha Dutt

The Supreme Court on Friday ordered the release of all six convicts who are currently serving life imprisonment in connection with the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

Congress said that the decision is "totally unacceptable", whereas Tamil Nadu CM Stalin welcomed the verdict "This judgment is proof that decisions of elected govt shouldn't be shelved by Governors in appointed positions," he said.

If Sonia Gandhi asked for the death sentence to be commuted to a life sentence it's simply because she is against the death penalty. That doesn't mean the criminals should be released.

Gandhi family opinions don't matter, what matters is the law and that Rajiv Gandhi was the PM of this country. Sonia Gandhi's personal feelings for capitol punishment hold no value. How the people of this country feels is more important. An Indian PM assassinated and the killers are released, what does it speak of our country. When PM killers are set free then how can a common man expect of any justice.
