Asana: Warrior I (Virabhadrasana I)
Brief alignment: Come to the top of the mat. Step your right foot back and spin it in while squaring the hips. Bend the front knee so it tracks over the ankle. Keep on squaring the hips as you press through the outside edge of your back foot. Raise your arms over your head with your palms touching, and open your mid back as you gently gaze up to your hands.
Benefits: Strengthens the legs, stretches the calves, opens the heart
Contraindications: Knee injury
