Love your recipes. I did steak the other day and it came out really delicious. However, followed the gammon and chips recipe. My chips were doing lovely until I put the gammon on top. All of the fat went over the crispy chips and they went soggy!! What did I do wrong??

I've just cooked gammon steaks, proper chips and egg. I put the egg in a ramikin dish. I'm sorry to say but mine looked better then yours
