The track is stil a huge hit in Italy (went Gold in Autumn 2011) and in the rest of the World too! It was awarded as the "Most Performed Work in New Zealand" in 2011 and had a lot of airplay in Germany and Uk too... In the video Brooke Fraser sings, dances and claps her hands... Brooke fell in love with the confessional lyrics and timeless melodies of James Taylor, Carole King, Joni Mitchell and Paula Cole, and eventually began to play the guitar. In 2002, when she was 18, Fraser signed with Sony Music and moved to Auckland where she played regularly at local venues while she wrote the songs that would appear on her debut album, What To Do With Daylight. That album, released in New Zealand in 2003, debuted at No. 1 and achieved gold status the same week.

The year was 2010, and I was living in Germany. I hardly ever watched TV back then, but one night I turned it on and watched some music videos. And then...this sweet gem of a song came on :) "Something in the Water" reached #8 in the German charts, and that was the first time I heard the name Brooke Fraser. A decade later and I'm a massive fan of her first 3 albums, and of her work with Hillsong too. It's beautiful stuff, and my life is better for having discovered it. Yep, Brooke is a top-notch musician, songwriter and influence on my own music :)

I was about to die from an overdose in my apartment in Miami all alone after so many different drugs…I went to grab my phone and I couldn’t even see what I pressed and out of no where YouTube started and this song played. My heart was beating out of my chest and then the room turned white and I felt at peace. My heart slowed down and I survived. Jesus Christ is real people. He saved my life.

Was my favourite song when I was 9 years old, but couldn’t remember its name, I tried to find it with its lyrics but didn’t succeed, and shazam wasn’t a thing back then. All those years, I tried to find it again, but finally accepted that I would never find it again, I’ve never ever heard it again in 11 years.. During a trip to Bordeaux France, BY CHANCE, they played it in a shop, I immediately recognized the song and quickly shazamed it, and here I am, glad to find it again after all those years 😁

this song is so nostalgic to me. i lost it for a while, and i’m so glad i’ve found it. it reminds me of nights in the warm kitchen of my old home with my sister and parents, having dance offs and singing as loud as i can as a young child, just after this song was released. this is one of the most beautiful and memorable parts of my childhood, and i’m not going to lose this song again, ever. <3

In 2011 I was going on a trip to seaside with my family and this is one of the songs that we were listening. I was 6 years old back then and didn't knew the name of the song. 12 years later I've found it and the feeling is amazing, so nostalgic... Excellent song that brings back beautiful memories.
