This may be the happiest I've seen Dan look in a movie review thumbnail.

Such a sweet movie. I thought it was going to be a comedy but it’s very emotional, even my husband cried 😭

This one hit me hard in the feels. Lost my father last month so the themes of being nice to family really hammered me .
The timeless theme of enjoying the present, without knowing the future, never gets old. We all wish our old ass could have told our young asses what’s important.

I literally told my couples counselor in the last session that what made me the saddest was that I knew that if I could go back to my younger self and warn myself, younger me wouldn't listen.

Sounds like it touches on some of the same themes as "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, " where the question is about impulses vs. logic, and how even our bad decisions are still important in defining us.

Saw it yesterday. Loved it. Brilliant acting and great succinct story. Dan is right. It doesn't answer every question raised and doesn't need to.

Critics: what a creative premise executed with comedy and heart.
Julie Nolke: *Glares*

Saw it last night with my wife. She loved it. I was expecting more until the end. What a gut punch. Not that it wasn’t pleasant all the way thru. I read it was the best coming of age film and my expectations were too high thru 2/3rd of the movie. The final act brought it home

Just watched it on prime, it never came to theaters near me, but this was such a great movie! Missy Stella & Aubrey Plaza were phenomenal

I'm actually in my last weeks of being 39 (I turn 40 in less than a month) and if I were to visit myself at 18 ... the reaction would probably be a mixed bag ... I would definitely be thrilled to hear that I have an amazing wife that I love and 3 awesome kids that I'm crazy about. Probably would not be too crazy about my career ... less-than-exciting corporate desk job and a very small youtube channel would probbably not go over great :D
Holy crap, I haven't seen the movie yet and it's already giving me stuff to think about :D

I just saw this movie tonight with a group and we all really enjoyed it. Maisy was very good and had great chemistry with Percy. It was funny, had great pacing, was a little thought provoking, had some sad moments and the scenery was beautiful.

I only just caught the trailer a few days ago and was interested. NOW I can't wait to see it, thanks Dan!

I saw 'My Old Ass' at a film festival last week and loved it. It's a real hormone hitter - I got a real real feeling of warmth, love and cathartic release from watching it.

The movie is basically Arrival without aliens. (Not meant to be an insult--the movie is very cute and heartfelt--but it does bring up pretty similar themes so my brain couldn't not make the comparison after the ending.)

Got to see an advance screening of it last night and it was phenomenal. I cannot recommend it highly enough. I do think a lot of the festival favorites are overrated but this one delivers.
