How to clean cabin logs- ALASKA OFF GRID

This is our fourth log cabin/home in Alaska.... and this is the fourth one that I've had to scrub mold off the logs! UGH! This is just a time and muscle job but it has to be done in order to get those logs nice and golden! It's worth it in the end!

The inside of the logs were treated in the exact same way, but for sealant we use Watco Danish Oil- gives a very natural, low maintenance treatment for the interior. We've used this on all 4 of our log homes. Same goes for the bleach scrubbing treatment! Geesh. I still have one more wall to do- the back wall on the downhill side. Waiting for the deck to go on to do that one!

Sorry to be critical, but if you are going to go through all the effort to make a video about this, you need to fill in what proportion of bleach to water to use for your cleaning solution. Is that unreasonable? No, of course not, I don't think so.

Super beautiful cabin :) I use a pump sprayer for the bleach/water and the stain application followed with a cheese cloth or wooly rag... I thought that I could smell the salmon
