Reaper DAW: Creative Item Volume Envelopes

I show U a neat way to "cut out" pieces of an imported drumloop,
thus creating a new groove out of that drumloop.
I do this by drawing the so called "Take Envelope" of the drumloop Item.
Ableton Live users will be familiar with this worflow.
As you can see, it's totally possible in Reaper too, in a fast way !

Clever tip, very cool! This can be used for a number of applications, including creating a "stutter"/tremolo with depth at the max on a sound, as done in some styles of EDM music.
One minor Reaper-specific detail. The volume you are changing is not the item volume, but the take volume. As far as I know the item volume, which you can change in the item properties, cannot be automated.
