You acknowledge about how in The Man Who Left Too Soon but fail to notice how a song literally called Tie My Shoes that talks about being a little girl would also be about that same paternal relationship. A lyric is literally " the screws are with my old man" waiting for a neglectful parent to come back and treat them like the child they were. Anyway, my instant favourite was Beaches - it's fun but has the same waves of emotions and moods that the song talks about
