I love all the little features that large grill manufacturers don't think about. The notch system for the firebox door (although you might want to cut the sharp point off of that thing), the little pegs to hold a water pan, the grill on top of the firebox, the extended handle for the stack, etc. You can tell just by looking at it that a true long-time enthusiast took pride in designing it.

This was a joy to watch! Great ideas. I've got a 250 gallon old fuel tank and a 75 gallon round tank. You gave me the perfect setup and ideas. THANK YOU FOR THIS VID!!!!

I'd love to hear the difference between pipe vs tank smokers. Never seen it covered on a video before.

You nailed it, dude. No fancy gimmicks. Just neat, clean, practical, and efficient design. This is the best DIY smoker on youtube. Keep rocking.

Great video! A couple things you might want to do is cut the sharp point off the adjustable firebox system. Something I was told when I started welding many years ago no sharp corners round them off. It saves blood, Doctors bills, time off work. Also convert from flux core wire to gas it doesn't take much. The savings on grinding disk will pay for the conversion. Maybe a clean out door on the bottom of the fire box to aid in cleaning out the ashes.

That grill part on the right side is so clever!

That's a damn good idea with the V shape in the firebox I like that a lot. you could actually put some grading across the bottom and it'll give it air flow when the logs breakdown in fall to the bottom.

I don't know if your better at building smokers or filming and editing videos. 🤯
Amazing job on both!

I love everything about this video! Especially the fact that I can show it to my welder/sheetmetal worker husband and get him to make me one!

I would like to see a video on what the pros and cons are on the pipe style smoker and the tank style smoker. Looking at building my own larger patio style smoker for the home and have been considering a 250 gallon tank style but would love to see a true comparison. Thanks! And keep up with the great videos. One of my favorite bbq channels all together and definitely my favorite “newer channel” by far!

Nice job on this video and your smoker build. This is the best condensed timeline video of how these things can be built that I've seen yet. Kudos to you man!
