Astronomy Lecture-1 Basics of Stargazing

Spark Astronomy X AIM is organising 7 series of Astronomy lectures; the first one is the Basics of Stargazing on 30th May 2020.
In this lecture students and teachers learned about the history of telescopes that how the telescopes were invented in the period of 200 years how the shape of telescopes changed around the world from small 40inch reflected in the 1800s to 100inch in 1920s. WE also broadly discussed how modern space telescopes plays a major role in today's space science mainly discussing Hubble Space Telescope, Kepler Space Telescope and the biggest space telescope, James Webb Space Telescope which we will be launched in 2021. Not only we discussed the telescopes around the world but we also focused on the telescopes and observatories in India Devsthal Optical telescope, the largest telescope of India to Himalayan Chandra Telescope, the second-highest optical telescope in the world, in the last part of the lecture. We had full house participants from all over the country.
