1) Are they polling people only in rich neighborhoods? That would skew the results heavily.
2) Despite all the problems the political system creates, one's own actions go a long way in avoiding trouble and having a successful life.
3) It is much easier to feel satisfied when you set realistic goals and meet them than setting unrealistic ones and usually failing them.

I think Cenk is right on how Democrats feel vs Ana. What Ana is missing is that NOT resisting is a BAD sign. When you're resisting, you're motivated, you want to fight and make things better. When you're this upset and not resisting... you've lost hope. That's what I see from a lot of folks right now. They're doing armchair activism, but they're feeling extremely dispirited.

When asked about satisfaction in personal lives, noone thinks about economy, or politics. They think of their families. And if everyone is in good health, and under a roof getting fed daily, they would say they are satisfied. Ask them if they are satisfied with their jobs, if they are satisfied with their salaries, their healthcare, with their education system etc., then you will get the real answer.
