I see the book shelves are double width which is such a waste of space. Remove it all at least the whole perimeter of the room and deck out floor to ceiling single file shelving will expand the room to incorporate a few floor to ceiling in the center of the room. I'm forever trying to re map out mine as well. 😊

I think I'm only up to 200-ish CDs so storage isn't a problem....yet! Nice, huge collection you have and good job on organization!

I also had a problem with having a lot of CDs and having a room, so what I had decided to do was put the CDs in sleeves and get rid of the jewel cases it hurts to do that, but it saved me a lot of Room and then I got storage boxes, especially made for CDs to put the sleeves in . All the CDs still have the artwork, and I put the CDs and special protective sleeves when actually putting them in the protective sleeve with the artwork, so it’s double protected

For a temporary solution to stacking two rows of CDs in one oversize shelf, rather than stacking the CDs in the top row horizontally, I recommend cutting a strip of thick card to place on top of the bottom row, that way the discs in the top row won't slip down. I've done this and it works very well. It also makes re-arranging the discs in those shelves much easier, as you don't have to take all of them out to accommodate new titles.

I like your videos you have an outstanding collection. I do love collecting CDs. It gets harder and hard to find stuff on CD. But I still buy them anyway specially imports from Japan UK Australia etc. The one major band I collect the most for in my collection is U2 I almost have everything from them but there are some that are out of my price range in big box sets that I just can’t afford or get a hold of easy. I do have a big import singles collection of INXS. And I used to collect a lot of weird city singles with B sides on them that i couldn’t find anywhere else. The one thing I do miss about collecting CDs. Is CD singles and CDEP. Those were the ones that I haunted down the most .

As I was watching your video I seen you got a lot of Moby CDs I also collect Moby and I managed to collect all of his singles from the play album it wasn’t an easy task, but I got them all just to get the B sides I also have the play album with the bonus be beside the album along with the next album 18 with the bonus DVD

You are lucky to get bookcases for nothing, even if they aren't exactly what you need. I love my Ikea bookcases that have the adjustable shelves. 😊
