In this video i have come up with the solution to fix minecraft error something went wrong in the login process while trying to login onto minecraft using the minecraft launcher or the xbox launcher in windows 10 and in windows 11

For those who tried all the above and still doesn't work, you need to have the Xbox application from the Microsoft store along side the launcher.

Thanks for the help, the legacy launcher fixed my issue. Any idea if there is a long term fix or should i just continue using the old launcher? Cheers and thanks again.

For those who tried this and didn't work, You must have the Xbox application installed and be signed in for the minecraft launcher to work. If you can't sign into the xbox app, try this: (this came from official microsoft website)

a: Press Windows key + X.
b: Then click Windows Powershell (Admin)
c: Now type the following command and hit enter:


Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage
Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage


After a restart, entere the following command (again in Windows Powershell as Administrator):


Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register


This will install any missing built-in apps you may have uninstalled.

i was playing with my friends and i closed the game when i was done. Then after trying to open the game again this problem happened. I thought i got banned or smth. And after 5 hours i was rushing though every solution with the fear of losing my account. An indian guy like you said download Xbox Companion thingy. Woah, it got fixed. You indian guys are the real goats 🙏🙏🙏🙏
