The 7 most powerful functions in Adobe Illustrator, in my opinion. These tools and functions will excel your graphic design workflow to new heights if you learn them, master them and implement them into your designs. These tools are essential to the use of Illustrator in my opinion, and you should get very accustom to using them.

Adobe Illustrator has many tools and functions, but I personally really do find these 7 up at the top of importance. I forgot to add in the actions panel, as I consider that to be a huge time saver also, that could easily be the 8th addition to my list of most powerful tools and functions in Illustrator.

Can you do a video on working backwards with layers and deciphering other peoples' templates/work?

Sometimes I import pre-designed templates and I find it a nightmare to go through their work/layers to make the changes - their compound paths, clipping masks, groups is all mish mos and very unorganized. I may as well have done the work myself by the time I figure out how to make one color change.

This is what I find most frustrating with Illustrator. Photoshop layers are so much more intuitive.

I Luv the shape builder tool, I find myself using that tool more lately then pathfinder

I live in the layers. And also a couple tool uses I knew about but excellent to see the use. I would also make an added suggestion: The Perspective Grid could be in this list. I've been creating some complex backgrounds and objects for an animation storyboard and that tool once understanding it is a lifesaver. Cheers.

I've adopted a large 700 by 500 page layout for my preliminary designs on Illustrator CC19, for added manoeuvrability and sidelining' main question being: do you reckon this would slowdown a multiple page art board?

Should i keep the pages A4 on Art Boards?

Just one question, I always have a problem with adding high quality photos when I design a menu or anything else on Illustrator, and it makes the file heavy in size, is there a way to reduce the photos & file size without effecting the quality of the photos?
