Wow tell me I don’t understand how to row without telling me I don’t understand how to row

Doing push-up motion with a broom handle really helped me, not sure how. Got it from a power lifter for bench press. U try to stretch the broom handle and bend it in the middle as u do a push-up motion. For me would do every morning set of 10 then 2 sets of 20. First day 10 was agony, by day 7 could do 50 easyish. Then got on rower usually struggle to do 2:20/500m after this was cruising at 1:50 or so. Was doing back squat focus for a month and maybe hadn't jumped on the rower to be honest. OK will try to check breathing at all positions..

Very true. Breathing is my 100% focus when I row wearing my SCBA as a form of training at the firehouse.

Thanks Kelly. Technical question: would it be correct to think that the position allowing for better breathing allows more efficiency and more work to be done over a longer period, but in terms of maximal force production over a very short time, that slouched position allows more force production?

Curious as to why we default to that slouched position to pull harder, if it is actually not efficient. I see the same pattern happening with the assault bike.

Would love to hear your input.
