Bandai have been producing model kits with multiple colors of plastic on a single spru since the 1980s. They call it "System Injection". Some of their System Injection kits even feature individual pieces with multiple colours.

Bandai makes some amazing kits. mostly mech and mostly Gundams.

I hope you take some time and a little money and try a couple of their Master Grade kits, or Real Grade. you might be blown away.

I thought bandai was only making the 1/72 scale. Are they releasing this scale as well? how many models are out for this 1/48 scale?

The only one that isn't on there is the little bunny ears/quotation mark symbol - that just means "pay attention" and is usually telling you the correct orientation for a part.
