This is what i've experienced in my years working in the Afrobeats community. Here i am advocating for Afrobeat songwriters. I'll tell you as an Artist the listeners / audience don't care if you use songwriters or not, because as an Artist you can be talented in the art of singing, performing and others but not in writing songs, this is where songwriters come in to exhibit there own talent.

There is no shame at all to use song writers for your music, this is a similar case to a music producers using loops and samples when creating beats.

There is space for every creative to use their talents.
