Ahh... December 15 of 1965 was a fist *rendezvous*, not a docking on orbit. They just said hello themselves;
1975, July 15: USA have launched and docked Apollo CSM on *Saturn 1B series* to orbit. *Saturn V rocket was a rocket targeted to moon*, and Apollo CSM was launched with *American-Russian docking port adapter, long as half of an Apollo CSM*
