I have come to view the Tarot as basically the oldest form of psychotherapy. The cards merely represent universal archetypes, a la Jung and Campbell (the Major Arcana resembles the stages of the Heroes Journey). Thus it is an exercise of introspection to examine the meaning of the card in relation to your question, and in particular your response to those themes: Do you agree/Does it make sense.... WHY(/not)?!

I absolutely love 1) that you’ve done this video and 2) the comments about it are so excited. The tarot is a big part of my thinking life. It has really helped to reframe all kinds of things, and worked as a bit of DIY therapy. Haha. I, too, have studied tarot for many years ( decades, actually ) and regard it as a loose-leaved book of seventy-eight pages. A Jungian approach ties it in with The Hero With a Thousand Faces ( which I've just commented about on another of your videos ). I learned, like many, on the Rider-Waite deck but over the last few years I've become convinced that the 'real' tarot mysteries are contained solely in the Marseilles decks - but everyone has to find their own way, of course!.

I collect tarot decks mostly because I'm fascinated by them. My two favourites are the Deviant Moon deck and the Shadowlands deck- both really spoke to me when I saw them. I'm going to pull a deck out and sit down with it and follow your nine card instructions to see what they have to say to me.

Love tarot. I use it daily and journal from the cards as well. I have several decks but always return to the Smith-Waite as I find Pixie and her connection to the Golden Dawn so fascinating. Oh my! I read the Tarot too. I have a few decks but my favourite is one I have since I was 16. A few years ago I used to meet with a few people and we would study them. The cards are a great guidance.

I use Tarot cards or oracle cards as bookmarks . I will search the decks when I start a book and see which card is calling out to read through the book with me :)
