"Jeff was furious that his real life suffering was used in a storyline"

Strap in Jeff, you ain't seen nothin' yet pal.

Important note about the first one: it was Lita's idea. She told Stone Cold that attacking her would get the heat he was looking for. Apparently, Austin was hesitant, but Lita earned his respect that night.

I really feel for Jeff and Jake. To say how the WWE treated them and used their addictions to profit from is more than just "in bad taste".

The worst one for me was "Your baby brother didn't have much fight in him did he?"

There is one glaring omission. Royal Rumble 1999 when the Rock hit Mankind with 11 unprotected chair shots while Mankind was handcuffed. Mick's wife and kids were present and they had to leave in the middle of the match because the kids thought their dad was being killed.

Jim Ross being BBQ’d is ironic now but when it happened, I was a kid and was absolutely terrified.

Ngl, it took me FOREVER to accept that JBL used to be Bradshaw. The transformation was so drastic I thought one of my friends was putting me on because the two characters didn't even look alike (to me).

Funnily enough, the WWE would later run the same storyline with Jeff Hardy and having Sheamus mock Hardy's problems with alcohol.

Surprising that Jake the snake still went ahead with the bit, considering in the years to come WWE just abandoned him in his misery.

The Boss Man dragging Big Show's dad's coffin is absolutely hilarious.

Big Boss Man killing Al Snow’s dog and feeding it to him sure did disturb me. I kinda cringe when I look back on that storyline.

Stne Cold beating the shit out of Lita with a chair is one of my favourite moments of all time. Lita was top 3 babyface on the entire roster at the time & because she'd taken her fair share of bumps from the men from her first month in the company, it was less "a man hitting a woman" and a heel attacking a face with the added aspect of a gender dynamic.

It was ballsy to do, and from what I remember her saying, they said they could go for one or 2 shots because she's a girl & she insisted they attack her just like they'd attack a man.

The only downside for her is she couldn't sell the stunner due to being KO'd but got to take the stunner 2 weeks later and sell it by throwing herself around 🤣

About a week after the Vince vs Stephanie match she had her wedding with Triple H & mentioned how everyone was concerned about Stephanie possibly walking down the aisle with a black eye or bruises as a result of the match

Make a list about times heels went too far and they missed Triple H's Katie Vick promo! Come on, Cultaholic!

I'm all for the idea of "wrestling characters being real people turned up to 11" but that Lawler/Roberts feud has always made me sick to my stomach. It always felt like WWE taking advantage of a man in a very vulnerable position.

Brock vs Zack was a great angle. That was top tier entertainment!

Setting Jim Ross on fire was hilarious! Not because of the act itself, but the body double was noticeably thinner than Jim Ross and it was obvious the screams were (badly) acted and recorded for it hahahaha

I thought Dewayne beating the sheet out of Foley with those 20 chair shots was the worst.

Any sequel to this list must include Chris Jericho taking a mallet to Chyna's hands in 99.

I look forward to the upcoming "10 WWE faces who went too far"

Orton, Kane, Undertaker and Stone Cold all have certain entries on such a list.
