Tradecraft Basics: How Dead Drops Work

In this video, we start off our dead drop series with a very basic introduction of what dead drops are, how they work, and what they are used for. We demonstrate all four basic components of a dead drop in a real world example in a public space.

In future videos, we will be breaking down this process and explaining all the steps that go into setting up and maintaining a dead drop.

Something like a microSD card could be pretty useful. They're already pretty waterproof and all you need to do is stick it down with some chewing gum or maybe just a bit of clear, weatherproof tape you can get at a garden centre. Its pretty small so you may need to find a way to mark it inconspicuously, but who would suspect someone watching the river and sticking their gum to the wall?

But how find out the meeting point and how far from flag the object is

The cable TV and internet that goes to your home has a box you can hide a USB thumb drive or any item can be another discreet location before the cable guy does it to and messages can be placed on the tags onto the coax cable and blend in with rest of the tags to give another location to another dropsite etc
